Hoss

Hoss is a 5 year old Beagle and something big mix.

Hoss was adopted from the shelter and found to have Heartworms when they took him to be neutered, so they left him at the Vets office. The Vet knew that he would be Put Down if he was returned to the Shelter so she called Rescue for him.  He had his treatments on the 17th and 18th of April.  He will have to stay here another 4 weeks and be checked again , and if all clear he will be neutered. 

05/13/2006  I was standing outside with the dogs and heard the most god awful screaming that I never want to hear again in my life.  It was Hoss he has gone blind and is real scared/confused, had a seizure/stroke from the Heartworm treatments.  

05/16/2006  After 2 days of panic and pacing and insisting on being outside under my forsythia bush, Hoss has made a full recovery. He can see again and is no longer confused.  He still insists on staying outside all the time under the forsythia bush and is weak.  The weather is good and we do not want to stress him so he is allowed to stay out.

05/21/2006 Hoss had his 3rd and final HW treatment yesterday.  He is doing so much better.  He is eating again and coming in the house on his own to sleep and visit.

06/24/06  Hoss has been adopted by a wonderful family.  He has a 6yo Boy and a 11 month old baby girl all his own.

09/28/2006 -- Hoss was thrown away like a piece of Garbage by his pretend forever family: Tameka Spale.  He is micro-chipped so I was called by the Humane Society to come fetch him. I went Immediately to pick my boy up.

11/04/2006 - Hoss was adopted by his TRUE forever family and again has his very own baby.  He loves that baby.
