These kids were dumped at a Humane Society in Tupelo Mississippi by a puppy miller in MAY 2008. They were a matted mess. This shelter went all out for these kids.  They shaved them down , spayed them , gave them vaccinations , ran blood panels , and heartworm tested them.  Unfortunately all but 3 are heartworm positive. So they were never adopted from the shelter.  I learned about them on 08/13/2008 and we set things in motion to get them here where they can be treated and adopted out.

08/16/2008 - a Pee stop in Saint Joe MO , and then into the Rescue PT Cruiser for the ride to the Sanctuary

We made it home in record time , got here about 7:30PM

Candy - Shih Tzu - has heartworms - goes in for treatment on 08/25/2008

Sugar - Shih Tzu -has heartworms , but was adopted by a nice lady that is going to fix her up.

Poppy - does not have heartworms , has a cataract in one eye
